Regarding language – I will give both Wonder Boy Twin and Wonder Girl Twin “uh-oh.†When they drop food from their high chair, it is accompanied by “uh oh,” so they get points for understanding the meaning and the appropriate use of the term. I might even give them “mmaaaaaa†as some that approximates the word “mother†(although, that’s kind of pushing it.)
What is absolutely clear is that the next word they have mastered is “Peppa,†as in “Peppa Pig.” Wonder Twin Girl has got first syllable down and Wonder Twin Boy can say “Peppa” in its entirely.
Dear god. This is very telling of my parenting style. Like the word “Kierkegaard” is not coming any time soon.
