Oh Hillary, I know. You want it bad. And you know I want you to get it too, but as Kenny Rogers says, you’ve got to know when to hold them, and know when them to fold them.
You don’t want to be the house guest who stays on after everyone else has left the party. You don’t want to be “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” when it hung for years after its peak at second season. It’s just not a gracious way to go. There’s always the next election, when McCain is up for re-election. (I’m sorry, guys, I just don’t have the faith that the Obama phenom will go all the way to the top).
I heart Hillary.
Go Obama!!!!!!
It seems to me, based on my own feelings as well as what I read on the blogosphere and in the papers, that Obama supporters really, really hate Hillary but are benign towards people who vote for her. Hillary’s supporters hate Obama’s supporters for the constant Hillary bashing, although they don’t hate Obama himself.
This could make rallying around Barack difficult come convention time. I mean, I’m a loyal Democrat, so I’ve got nowhere else to go. But I fear a lot of Hillary supporters will go over to McCain because they’re so pissed about how she was treated by members of her own party. No matter how petulant and vitriolic the Obama nuts can be, dealing with them through Election Day is better than a McCain presidency.
i can’t believe edwards endorsed obama now. i don’t think it really packs any kind of wallop — at least compared to if he did it RIGHT after he quit.
i feel sorry for hillary.
